We're passionate about protecting the New England environment, especially the coasts, waterways, harbors, and bays. That's why we've partnered with Save the Harbor and other water conservation organizations to make a positive impact our shores and wildlife.
From Daniela, the owner:
One of the most frequently asked questions I get is "Why did you name your business Sacred Harbor Photography?" It's a long story, but the skinny of it is: water is sacred to me. As an open water swimmer, I've trained in Boston Harbor, Quincy Harbor, Walden Pond, and many other bodies of water in New England. With microplastics, acidification, and pollution destroying our planet's oceans and reefs, and killing marine and coastal wildlife, the environmental crisis hits close to home each time I step foot in the water. This is why I've linked my passion for photography and my commitment to protecting our planet's waters and wildlife.
Two local organizations, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay and Mass Audubon Society, stand for everything I hold dear: education, advocacy, protection, and conservation. To help these two incredible organizations continue to make a positive impact, I've made a commitment to:
Donate 5% of every session and sale to Save the Harbor
Provide at least 20 hours in volunteer services to each organization in 2020
Contribute photography services to at least 4 events in 2020 to water conservation/environmental advocacy organizations
What does that mean for you?
My business and I will continue to provide the best service for you and your friends, family, teams, and coworkers. We may talk your ear off a little bit about how excited we are to support these two exceptional organizations. We hope that you'll share our mission with your community and network to help support conservation efforts - we want our community and supporters to also share our passion and efforts to support environmental and water conservation, advocacy, and education.
We've included more information about Save the Harbor below, and we encourage you to check out their websites and see the great work they're doing in New England. Both of these organizations are host fun and education events, as well as service projects, through the year, and are always looking for participants and volunteers.
